Shopmobility Ballymena Ltd.
has been a registered charity since November 1999. The initial launch was in March 2000. The scheme operates from the town center location in Unit 24 in the Tower Centre which can be accessed from the surrounding streets and car parks.
As part of the Shopmobility NI Network, Shopmobility Ballymena strives to promote equality of access and the independence of people with disabilities, permanent or temporary, through the provision of mobility equipment. Manual wheel chairs are available on a daily basis; all we require is a form of identification, plus an address and signature. They may also be borrowed for short term use throughout Northern Ireland, but advance booking is recommended, particularly during the summer months. To borrow a powered wheel chair or scooter, you must register as a member of the scheme. Photographic identification and two passport size photographs are required for registration, full training will be given on the use of the powered equipment.
If you require assistance, equipment will be delivered to your vehicle on request.
