Shopmobility Belfast
has just finished a ramble season for 2007. This was excellent year out! Our Ramblers took opportunity to visit many beautiful venues across Nortern Ireland and some places in Belfast as well. During each ramble we found out many interesting things…
Our guide Dan from
Lagan
Valley
Park
presented us with a special tour across
Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park
during Rose Week. We got some tips how to look for squirrels, including a dramatisation on the difference between red and grey Squirrels, their eating habits and an insight into their different personalities!
John- our guide gain insight on the history of An Creagán and information on the natural environment, heritage and culture of the region. Our Ramblers took the opportunity to explore also beautiful, huge gardens in Mount Stewart and they also join the house tour which includes paintings and stories about the prominent political figures to whom the Londnonderry family played host.
Well, the sunshine may not always have shone on us but it was found in everyone’s hearts. Thanks to all who took part in rambles and helped organise them. Who made another good year ‘Out and about’. We already welcome everyone for another season which begins in spring 2008. Hopefully see you then!
